First sign of technology
The first sign of technology was in ancient Babylon in 300 B.C. where the people there used counting tools called abacuses aka counting frame. they were used to count for example vegetables and other essential material that needed to be counted. -
The telegraph
The electric telegraph was invented in the 1838's in France and it was invented by Samuel Morse. The telegraph was the first means of instant communication. The telegraph was revolutionary it made so that we could communicate much faster, it made it easier to arrest criminals and spread news. it worked by transmiting electrical signals, it is also where the expression morse code came from because of Samuel Morse's name. -
Wireless communication
The first wireless means of communication was in 1880 and it was invented by Alexander Graham and Charles Summer in Calcutta. The invention was called photo phone and it sent audio over a beam of light, it needed sunlight to work. It was invented because it was more convenient. the invention has led to many more like our modern day phones and almost all forms of communication these days. -
Internet
The internet was invented by Robert E Kahn in 1983 USA. The internet is a massive collection of information were can publish whatever they want. The internet was invented because we felt like we had to evolve into an new era of knowledge, to be able to find all the information you want with a few pushes on a few buttons. . The internet is made up by a huge network of computers called routers and that is how it works. Tim Berners lee later invented the world wide web. -
Facebook
Facebook was invented in February 2004 by mark Zuckerberg. when Facebook was invented it marked a new era of media (social media). Facebook was made to share our experiences and life. It might not seem important but it started a big part of our daily life, and it has helped improve our freedom of speech and spread information about criminals and harsh acts. Facebook is a big network that now owns countless of big companies.
