    Establishment of National Teacher's Association
    If it were not for the National Teacher's Association [NTA], there would not be nearly enough people receiving the education they deserved at the time NTA was formed. The people in the NTA opened a door of chances and success for lots of people who were not receiving any sort of education to help them succeed in life at this time that continues into today's education (Holcomb, 2006). "The growing Association would have a profound impact on education in America" (Holcomb, 2006).
  • Jane Addams and the Creation of Hull House in Chicago

    Jane Addams and the Creation of Hull House in Chicago
    The Hull House created opportunity where no one could picture it, and it gave this opportunity of education to immigrants, most of which had close to nothing (Grossman, 2019). This creation of the Hull House led to others seeing that immigrants, and working class need an education to survive like most others. "Hull House provided children with a place of social and educational support" (Grossman, 2019). The Hull House opened education to children of any class, it was uncommon in Chicago before.
  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
    This court case has changed our education system in a drastic way. It has showed inclusion and diversity being accepted in ways that it was not being shown before. It opened the door for those who were being left out because of what they looked like. This event eventually led to the Civil Rights Movement later on in the 1950s and 60s (Duignan, 2020).
  • No Child Left Behind

    No Child Left Behind
    No Child Left Behind has given students more resources and money than what was being provided before to ensure a better education for the future generations (Turner, 2015). These resources may include books, food, transportation, and more, which are a few of many things anyone needs to be successful in their schooling. There is much more that needs to still be done to better the continuing of education for years to come.

    The 2004 Amended Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
    The amended Individuals with Disabilities Education Act [IDEA], deals with a whole category of students that haven't been closely looked at in the past, students that have disabilities. IDEA gives another part of society the same deserving chance to get an education at their standards and assists with the means to get where the work towards (ED). Living in a country where everyone has equal rights, this includes those with special needs getting an education, and this is what IDEA gives to us.
