The Vocational Education Act started the funding of technology in classrooms. This began a large movement of the use of technology in schools. This was a game-changer because if you were to walk into a school now there is technology everywhere. -

This act, put in place by President Johnson, helped fund schools, recognized special education, and help start preschool programs. -
Title IX and Sex Discrimination
This education amendment made it so no one could be discriminated by the sex/gender they identify as. -
Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
This act allows special education students to go to get the proper help needed. -
Columbine School Shooting
The Columbine High School shooting was one of the first school shootings in America having killed 13 people. Since then there have been more and more school shootings such as the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. -
No Child Left Behind Act
No child had to repeat their previous grade/class if failed. Most schools allowed summer school for the children who needed the extra help
