HP is founded

Mar 21, 1939

David Packard and Bill Hewlett found Hewlett-Packard in a Palo Alto, California garage. This is important because hp is a company that helped make computers what they are today.

ENIAC machine built

This machine was revealed to the public in 1946 and it was 1,000 times faster than other computers. It is important becasue it helped computers be faster so that they could be as fast as they are today.

ERA 1101

Mar 21, 1950

ERA 1101 is the first commercially built computer. It held 1 million bits on the storage This is important because this leads to the commercially produced computers that we hae today and everone has one.

First magnetic storage

May 24, 1950

The first magnetic storage disk was made in 1950. This storage unit was in the ERA 1101. This is important becasue now we use magnetic storage for everything and this helped make it so available.

Mouse

In 1965 the first mouse was made. This is very important becasue this is another thing that we use everyday. It also made GUI possible

Pong

In 1972 the first video game was made, Pong. This game is a super simple game that has the same goals of tennis. This is really important because it lead the way for video games that we have today.

the Apple 1 is thfrst prsonal computer made by apple. Steve Wozniak ad Steve Jobs built it thought it was design be Wozniak Steve Jobs decided to sell them. I think this is important because apple is now one of the greatest selling computer companies now.

Mac OS

In 1984 Mac OS was made. This is important because it was one of the first GUI Operating systems.

Windows

In 1985 windows was founded. This is important because it is the OS that most people in the world use
