Directed by Richard Donner this adventure/comedy/family film follows a group of children who try and find a secret treasure which is also being chased by a group of adult treasure hunters in the race for who can get to it first. I have watched the more modern version of the film but i thought the theme of the film and the story that is in it was really good. This film is targeted towards younger children. -
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Directed by John Hughes this comedy follows the story of school boy Ferris who is determined to have the best day of his life by missing school and going into town, whilst his principal tries to stop him with all his efforts to prove that he is not as special as he thinks. I really enjoyed this film because it was funny and interesting to watch. The target audience is probably teenagers/young adults because of the theme of the film. -
Empire Of The Sun
Directed by Steven Spielberg this drama/history/war films shows us the shocking story about a young English boy who is being homed in a Japanese occupation during World War II, we follow the boys struggles to survive in this hard time. I would say that this film is based for teenagers because of the sensative topic that the film discusses. -
Can't Hardly Wait
Directed by Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan this comedy/romance film follows the lives of some students who all have a different idea for what they want to do when they graduate. This film is aimed for teenagers and possibly young adults with its love story and views about graduation for people to follow. -
Spider-Man
Directed by Sam Raimi Spider-Man is an action/adventure film about a man who gets bitten by a genetically modified spider and is given spider like abilities. Originally adapted from Stan Lee's comic book this is a family rated film. -
Igby Goes Down
Directed by Burr Steers this comdey/drama film follows the story of a young man whos upbringing makes him unable to cope with the struggle of growing up. This film is aimed towards teenagers and young adults as a way to help them uderstand some problems that they might have when growing up and how to deal with them. -
Camp
Directed by Todd Graff this comedy/musical/drama follows the life of Brent a songwriter who can't find any jobs on broadway so he decides to attend a camp for musicians leading him to the possibility of joining a broadway production. This film is aimed towards teenagers and possibly young adults because of its themes about getting into jobs. -
Thirteen
Directed by Catharine Hardwicke this biography/drama we follow the story about a thirteen year old girl and her rebelious relationship with her mother as they meet topics such as drugs, sex and other things. This film is probably aimed towards teenagers who will soon be facing all of these struggles in their lives. -

Directed by Brian Dannelly this comedy/drama film tells us the story of a girl who becomes pregnant whilst attending a Christian and the story of how she became demonized to the point where she might lose her own best friends. This film is probably aimed toward the late teenagers and young adults because it tells us about the struggles of being pregnant and in school. -
Roll Bounce

Lee this 1970's style film shows the story of a group of boys who have to go through the traumatic event of changing their roller skating ring after their local home base closes down. This comedy/coming-of-age film shows the struggles of growing up and having to fit into a new place. -
A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints
Directed by Dito Montiel this crime/drama follows the life of a young boy in the 1980s, whose friends are being killed or put in prison because of drugs, and has managed to stayout of trouble thanks to these people he calls his saints. I think tht this film is aimed towards late teens because of all of the talk about drugs and prison. -
Superbad
Directed by Greg Motolla this comedy follows the story of two high school seniors who are trying to throw the besty party of their lives by boozing it up. This leads to a series of unfortunate events for all involved. This film is aimed towards late teens or early adults because of its comical jokes and subject. I really enjoyed this film when I watched it because it was really funny and portrays the situations really well. -
Juno
Directed by Jason Reitman this comedy/drama/romance follows the story of a young girl who is faced with the harsh reality of an unplanned pregnancy, which then leads her to have to choose between all of the possibilities for her child. This film is probably targeted towards late teens/young adults because it talks about having a child in school and the consequences about it. This film was a really good watch because it really makes you sympathise with the characters about their situations. -
Adventureland
Directed by Greg Mottla this comedy/drama/romance follows the hilarious story of James who needs to find money for a trip to Europe so he has to get a job at a theme park. We follow his love story through this funny guide on how to survive a summer job and growing up as a teenager. I think this film is aimed towards late teenagers and young adults because of the humour and theme of the film. I have watched this film and I found it hilarious because of the way that they show everything. -
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Directed by Edgar Wright this action/comedy/fantasy follows the story of Scott Pilgrim who falls in love with a mysterious girl and in order to win her heart he must battle with her evil exes. This film is targeted towards teenages because of its comical and fantasy element. I really enjoyed this film because I found the concept of battling exes really fun and a creative way to show how to deal with breakups. -
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower
Directed by Stephen Chbosky this drama/romance follows the story of a freshmen who befriends two seniors who show him what the real world is like from their perspective. This film is targeted towards late teens and early adults because of the theme and what they discuss during the film. This is a great film and very humourous, I really enjoyed watching it and I think that its a film that everyone should definately watch at least once.
