  • Ohio University Child Development Center

In 1980, the nursery again, was renamed to the OU Child Development Center (OUCDC) Where I currently work! This building was still located at Putnam Hall.
  • OU CDC Moves to the Ridges

A committee decided to expand the nursery and relocate to a building that was double in size. This building would be full renovated including repainting, windows, and walls. This building would open its doors to the public January 2, 2001.
  • OU CDC Reopens

In August 2020, the OU CDC decides to reopen. With masks being mandated at all times and class sizes being cut. In May of 2021, classes were back to normal. Slowly in the years after, restrictions became lifted.
  • My CDC Experience

I am placed in Infant 115 for my Sophomore placement. I learned how to teach and began my journey in the infant wing.
  • Sent Home for COVID

Due to the rising numbers of COVID, the Ohio University Child Development Center closed down to all. During this time, courses and classes were closed down.
  • I Become a Summer Employee

After graduating, I became employed at the OU CDC for extra money. I was placed in Infant 105 and began creating connections with students and parents.
  • The Rest is History for Me!

In June, I became a full-time teacher where I would teach in Infant 105 to now. I enjoyed the learning experience prior to being at the facility. I've loved the support and philosophy we build on. This is my second year and I have already made awesome connections with parents past and present.
