The first photograph
The word camera hundreds of years ago referred not to a peice of machinary which used a flash and a memory card to collect an image- it referred to a device called the camera obscura( a peice of ancient greek and chinese technology which was used to aid the drawing of a view). However in 1827, using an engraved metal plate which was covered in the chemical Bimuten( a reactant to light), Joseph Nicephore Niepce created the first photograph which, whilst temporary, made history.
