The Voyage of the Mayflower
A group of 102 pilgrims sailed from England to America in the Mayflower. Early on 9th November, 1620, the pilgrims saw land in the distance the ship finally reached land and some pilgrims left to explore the area. They saw a good place and decided to build a village . The first winter was very could and 45 people died from the extreme temperatures and from hunger. But the pilgrims didn't lose hope. A few months later the pilgrims met a Native American for the first time. -
Expansion
The French still owned some land to the west of the colonies.The French Emperor Napoleon offered the President Thomas Jefferson Louisiana for 15 million,the president accepted the offer and signed the Purchase Agreement. The Native American population started to suffer.They emigrated to Georgia and died on the way 4.000 Cherokee in ``Trail of Tears´´ -
Independence War
From 1754 to 1763, the british army and the conolists fought the French overland in North America. The britsh government won the war and got some of the French land. On the 4th July, 1776, the colonies declaried independence from great britain. The colonist led by George Washington, foughtmany long, difficult battles win the war and signed the Treaty of Paris in 1783. They called their new nation the Unaited Stades of America (USA) -
Americans Civil War
1860 The people of the north live in tonws, but the pople of the South live in plantations own slaves. The people in the North want to abolish slavery. they say it is cruel. In 1861 the South has got their Confederacy. It's got 11 states now. Confederate soldierds attacked a Union fort called Fort Sumter. So now we're at war. In 1864 thousand of people are dead. The war can't continue for long because Confederate are losing.In 1865 the confederate surrendered to general Ulysses Grant.
