The Ming dynasty falls
There was revolts and leaders caused the dynasty to fall. Ming allowed the Manchu to help stop rebellion but instead they rebbeled against them. -

The high ranked oficials pai to be put at higher ranks rather than working their way up. This is how the Qing dynsaty began to fall. -
China bans Christianity
China does not want anything to affect their customs. The did not want anything to chnage their customs. China wanted to keep their beliefs. -
Opium is sold widely through China
Caused people in China to become adicted. Since people become adicted this causes them to not care about China. -

The Qing traded with Europe silver. Europe decides that they want to take over the control of Chinese trading. -
The first opium war between Europe and China began .
China wanted to stop the strade of opium because they noticed changes. Britain wanted to keep trading so a war broke out eventually. -
Nanjing treaty
China lost the war so they were forced to trade. This meant that no matter what the Chinese wanted thetrading still had to occur no matter what. -
Bristish took control over China
British wanted more from China. So they took over all of Hong Kong. -
Chinese rebelled
Since the chinese had not much power this caused them to rebel.By rebeeling they only made things worse. -
2nd opium war
There was a secong opium war that broke out again. China did not want to keep trading but the British won again. -
Adopted western techniques
Western techniques were adopted. Not much because they still wanted to be chinise spiritually. -
China has no control over the Quinq government
Since the Qing dynasty is no longer in their control this means they can not make any changes. They can not control what they trade or who totrade with. -
Sino-Japanese war
Japan wanted some of China. Since Japan anted some part of China a war broke out. -
Boxer uprising
Go through Beijing killing people and burning churches. They were a secret society who was suported by the empress Cixi. -
Civil service exams
The and of the civil service exams came because there was a lot of corruption going on. The politocal system was not working anymore. -
The decline of the Qing dynasty
There was people who were in secret societies and a lot of rebellions going on. People began to revolt against the dynasty. -
Yuan Shikai
After evrything that happened during 1912 there was a new president in China. Yuan Shikai was the new president here.
