    On May 3rd, 1886, there were many workers who were killed by police at a shutdown in Chicago at the McCormick Reaper Plant. Many people were mad about the workers being killed, so the next night on May 4, 1886, there was a mass meeting. When police showed up to shut the meeting down, a stranger came from nowhere and through a bomb in the air causing 7 police officers to be killed and 5 civilians to be wounded. The bomb is what started this riot.
