It is considered a decisive victory for the United States over Japan, it ended Japan's ability to launch large-scale attacks in the Pacific. This was a Bad event because it ended many lives but this battle was necessary for the US. -

D-Day happened when Allied forces launched a combined water, air, and land attack on Nazi-occupied France. This is a BAD event because the amount of people that died that day but it needed to happen in order to free France. -

the Germans launched a surprise offensive against Allied forces. This was Hitler's last major attack on the Western Front to split and conquer the Allied forces. The offensive created a "bulge" in the Allied lines, giving the battle its name. The Allied forces successfully won this battle. This is a Good event since it pushed Germany back even more and showed that the Allied will win this war. -

Germany surrendered to the Allies on May 7, 1945, A German General signed the Surrender. This is a good event since it ended Germanys horrible attacks. -
Atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima
The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, named "Little Boy," and destroyed the entirety of Hiroshima and caused major destruction and death. The atomic bomb known as "Fat Man" was dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki and also caused major destruction on the city and its inhabitance. it combined caused a death of between 150,000 and 246,000 people. This was a UGLY event it was very unnecessary in my opinion and caused way more deaths than the war should have had. -
Japanese surrender
The Japanese surrender in World War II was announced on August 15, 1945, and formally signed on September 2, 1945 this finally marked the end of WW2 and the War between the US and Japan. This was a GOOD event since it finally ended the gruesome war for now.
