When the final Harry Potter book came out it completed the series and people could finally find out how the story ends. This was significant to me because I was really excited to read it and got it right when it came out. -

When Michael Jackson died people were greiving about his death but his music lived on. Michael Jackson used to be an amazing singer and I still remember his music today. -
Swine Flu worries
A lot of people worried abut cathing swine flu because having it couldve just been a regular flu or it could've been really bad. This effected me because I caught it in the fourth grade and had to stay home from school for 2 weeks. -

Tsunami in Japan
This put Japan in one of their most difficult situations, a lot of money had to go into repairs, and many people got hurt and went missing. When this happened I remember my parents freaking out about it, not only because it hit Japan, but because they were worried it reached all the way to Korea where their families are. -
Death of Osama Bin Laden
When Osama Bin Kaden died, the man who was in charge of the 911 attack died too. This was shown all over the news and although I don't really remember the attack I know that a lot of people felt relieved and safe. -
Last NASA space shuttle mission
All the previous missions brought us a lot of information about outer space and by ending it, it saved them a lot of money because it costed a lot to get it fixed every year. When I was littl eI wanted to be an astronaut so when it ended it kinda made me throw that idea out the window. -

Boston marathon shooting
The boston marathon bombing injured many inoccent citizens and the man in charge of it claimed he did it because their inoccent citizens died also. This effected me because I was going to do the color me run but then after the bombing my parents wouldnt let me go because they wre to worried about what might happen. -
