Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) passes the house
The ERA passed the Senate and then the House of Representatives, then sent to the states for ratification.
Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied on account of sex, the Congress shall have the power to enforce.
Only had 35 states of the 38, they needed.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
This act banned the discrimination against the sex of a person.
It focused on making sure no one is denied the right to a financial aid or denied to any educational program based on sex. -
