NEOLITHIC AGE
Thanks to agriculture and livestock, humans no longer needed to be nomadic, and became sedentary. The first stable settlements appeared. -
4000 BCE
METAL AGES
People began making tools, weapons and utensils out of metals. Societies became more complex. -
3000 BCE
ANCIENT TIMES
The Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilisations were very important during this period. It ends with the fall of the Roman Empire. -

MIDDLE AGES
Europe followed a feudal system in wich nobles had most of the power. The voyages of Colombus introduced Europeans to other cultures. -

MODERN AGE
Some kings and queens ruled as absolute monarchs. New cultural and artistic movement, such as the Enlightenment, developed. -
CONTEMPORARY HISTORY
The French Revolution and its fight for liberty marked the beginning of Contemporary History. We currently live in this area.
