    Prehistory

    The prehistory is the period since life appeared on Earth, or even more specifically to the time since human-like beings appeared. It´s start about four millions years ago and finishes with the invention of writing, about 3,000 B.C. The prehistory is divided into three periods: the Palaeolithic Age, the Neolithic Age and the Metal Ages.
  • 28,000 BCE

    Palaeolithic Age

    "Palaeolithic" means "Old Stone Age", and begins with the first use of stone tools. The Paleolithic is the earliest period of the Stone Age. It´s start about 9,000 B.C. The first human beings lived from hunting, fishing, and gathering wild fruit and were nomadic. The early part of the Palaeolithic is called the Lower Palaeolithic, which predates Homo sapiens.   • 4500 BCE

    Neolithic Age

    "Neolithic" means "New Stone Age." Although there were several species of human beings during the Paleolithic, by the Neolithic only Homo sapiens sapiens remained. This was a period of primitive technological and social development. Began about 9,000 B.C. and finishes about 4,500 and 2,000 B.C. Human beings lived from agriculture and cattle raising and were sedentary.

    Metal Ages

    It is the last period of Prehistory. It started about 4,500 B.C and ended when the first written texts began to be used (that happened depending of the area) The Metal Ages is divided in three periods: Copper Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Humans beings learned to use metals to make objects.
