  • PARC v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

    PARC is Pennsylvania Association for Retarded Citizens, they went aquatintist the state because there were at least 14 families with intellectually disabled children. Unfortunately, these children were not able to attend school because of their disability.   • Education for All Handicapped Children Act

    Education for All Handicapped Children Act landed itself in legislation in 1975. This was written to allow "access" to public education for all children without regard for their condition. The act of legislation also helped those children who did not fit in because this let them go to school regardless of their disabilities. There are all sorts of children who don't fit the norm and they all deserve the same education and surport as everyone else.
  • Americans With Disabilities Act

    The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed and put into place to stop the discrimination against individuals who have a disability. This act also will allow those to have equal opportunities for education, employment and etc. ( This legislative law was put into place so that everyone has a fair and equal chance at learning and being able to live their life along with be able to make decisions. Everyone should have equal opportunities as the next person. (Essex - Sorlie, D. 1994).
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act - IDEA

    The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that is a free public education to children with or who need special education or a related service. Ideally this ACT helps children from infants through the age of 21. This act has helped more than 7.5 million children.
