    Archduke's Assassination On this day the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Archduchess Sophie were visiting in Sarajevo. A terrorist by the name of Gavrilo Princip from the Black Hand managed to execute the two of them in public. Because of the relation to the Black Hand and Serbia, Austria-Hungary thought they were responsible for the attack.

    Collision! On the morning of this day, two ships collided in the bay of Halifax to create one of the biggest man-made explosions recorded. The Mont Blanc, a French Munitions ship carrying 3000 tonnes of explosives clollided with another ship, the Imo in the bay. The explosion that resulted was so great it destroyed massive parts of the city and the sound could be heard hundreds of kilometers away. It was one of Canada's worst disasters.

    German's Red Baron On the 21st of April on the year 1918 Germany's Red Baron or also known as Manfred Von Richthofen was finally shot down. He was targetting a Canadian Pilot when he got shot from behind by Captain Roy Brown a Canadian Pilot. Von Richthofen died at the age of 26.
