  • Plessy vs. Ferguson

    Plessy vs. Ferguson
    The Supreme Court ruled that separate but equal facilities were constitutional and that the protections offered by the 14th Amendment only referred to political and civil rights, not social rights.

    The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that segregation of public schools was a violation of the 14th Amendment.
