The Albany Plan
Franklin created the annual congress of delegates from each of the colonies. There would've been power to make war and peace before the Declaration of Independence. -
The Stamp Act Congress
Tax rate was already severe at this point. Nine colonies had a meeting in New York(known as the Stamp Act Congress). The colonies were preparing a protest called the Declaration of Rights against the new British policies. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre began when the colonist before then showed their anger by evading the law. By showing their Declaration of Rights, it led to a violent way about the laws. The Declaration of Independence was what the colonist wanted at this point. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was caused by three Native Americans. Each violent act represents each colonist fighting for whats right for them. Which is known as the laws including the taxes. Which later on led to the Declaration of Independence. -
1st Continental Congress
The Intolerable Acts was led up to this point. Many lawyers in these colonies had voted against the British colonial policies. Showing their Declaration of Rights. -
Intolerable Acts
Intolerable Acts occurred the same time as the 1st Continental Congress. Taxes were the main situation at this point. The British was the reason the colonists were proving their Declaration of Rights. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
These battles just involved Lexington and Concord in April of 1775. At this point, they have compromised that the battle with Great Britain was no longer possible. -
2nd Continental Congress
By this point, the revolution had begun. The battles of Lexington and Concord occurred a few weeks earlier before this. This is when the colonies are fighting for the Declaration of Independence. -
Declaration of Independence
John Locke believed that everyone has natural rights. If a government fails to act, people had the right to replace that government. -
American Revolution
At this point, British was forced to surrender during the war in 1781. In 1783 the Treaty of Paris made it official that America was independent. The colonies had fought for what was right for them and finally earned it.
