Hiroshima Bombed
The first and most powerful atomic bomb is dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. The bomb is released from the Enola Gay. The bomb exploded 2,000 feet off the ground and instantly killed 80,000 people. The purpose of the bomb was to get Japan to surrender. -
Nagasaki Bombed
Three days after an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagaski. -
