Washington Naval Treaty (Five-Power Treaty)
On August, February 11th 1922, the Japanese took offense from the Washington Naval Treaty. It limited the amount of ships they could own and showed USA's naval supremacy over the rest of the countries. -
The Pearl Harbor Attack
The Japanese goverment thought that the US Army would have supremacy, and if they ever were involved in conflict the US would have more advanced technology to battle with. On the 7th of December 1941 the Japanese military initiated a suprise attack on the military base of Pearl Harbor. The US Military were not pleased and were instead angered at this. -
The Enola Gay's Creation
On the 3rd of August 1945 the Enola Gay, a Boeing B-29 Superfortress Bomber was constructed. It was named after Enola Gay Tibbets. -
The Little Boy's Finished Construction
On the 6th of August, 1945, The US Army finished creating a bomb made from uranium in Los Angeles, this bomb was named the "Little Boy" Only 26 of these bombs were ever created and 2 only were used in war. -
The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagaski
The US Army wanted vengeance on the Japanese so on the 6th of August 1945. The Enola Gay's crew deployed 2 bombs, one in Nagaski, the other in Hiroshima. These bombs had devastating affects and killed over 100,000 people.
