    It was a Battle that Michelangelo began to paint the cartoon of, it was intended to be a fresco painted on a wall of the Salone dei Cinquecento. Which connect to Palazzo Vecchio which is the where the Salone dei Cinquecento is located.

    The building is crowned with projecting crenellated battlement. The battlements were built in 1299 when the building was built. But the battlement permitted the use of some of the earlier on fire arms. Which leads to the first production of riffles. Riffling appears in the 1540s.
