  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war
    The French and Indian war started January of 1754 and ended in 1763. They fought because they both wanted to control the Ohio River Valley because of the fur trade and because the 3 rivers meet their. French start out winning the war because they were using the Indians way of fighting which is hiding in trees and bushes and sneak attacking the British army. England came out winning the war because William Pitt sent James Wolfe to attack Quebec and he went up the cliffs and they won war
  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    Treaty of Paris 1763
    Treaty of Paris was also called the “Peace of Paris”. It was made to stop the war of Britain and France. Britain got more land for winning the war which was almost all of France land. France lost a lot of land and was also in a huge war debt. They could not help the Native Americans anymore and they knew that Britain would take more land from the Native Americans.
  • Pontiac's war

    Pontiac's war
    Pontiac’s war started in 1763 and it was a group of many Indians tribes working together to stop Britain. It gets its name from the guy that got all the Indians to fight with him and his name was Pontiac. It affects the colonies by not letting them go out past the Appellation Mountains. The colonists were mad at that they weren’t a loud past the Appellation Mountains when they help win the war against France.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763 was when King George III made a rule that no colonists were a loud to go past the Appellation Mountains. Then Britain taxed the colonist to send solders over to make sure that the colonist doesn’t go past the Appellation Mountains. The colonist doesn’t want to get taxed or get told were they can live.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act was made so that they could keep taxing on sugar and molasses. That it puts 3 cents on all sugar and molasses when people buy it to help get Britain out of debt. They were angry and wanted to know who passed that law. Sam Adams created the Sons of Liberty to give their opinions on the sugar act.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act was a taxed on all paper products which meant the price was more. They passed the Stamp Act to help get more money to get out of war debt. The colonist started mobs and attack the government to show that they want stand for the tax. During the Sugar Act the colonists were angry because it didn’t target everybody and during the Stamp Act the colonist started mobs and the taxed targeted everyone. They started using violence to help stop the Stamp act.
  • Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act was to send British soldiers to make sure that people in colonist had food, water, transportation. It allowed Britain to keep a army without paying for it. The colonist had to supply the soldiers with shelter, warmth during the winter, and food. The reaction of the colonist was that after a little bit the stop doing what they got told to do.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    The Stamp Act Congress was the first government of all the colonies held on October 7, 1765. To allow the Parliament to make laws dealing with the colonies. For them do agree and sign a paper to help end the Stamp Act but there were colonies that did not show up or people from the government for the colonies didn’t sign it. The colonist started boycotts and steal things.
  • Townsend Acts

    The Townsend Acts was named after Charles Townshend and his title was Chancellor of the Exchequer. The purpose of the Townshend act was to tax the colonist to pay the judges and governs. They taxed the colonist goods such as paper, red and white lead, glass, paint, and tea from England. The colonist respond with harassing tax collectors and did boycott’s. The tax that remained after the Townshend Act got repealed was the tea act.
  • Boston Massacre

    The famous American was Paul Revere that defended the British soldiers when they were on trial. Paul Revere defended the soldiers to stir things between the colonists and the British. Henry Pelham was the one who made the famous picture of the Boston Massacre.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre got led up by first having the Parliament passing the Townshend Act. Then the British started sending soldiers over to America. The British solder hit a boy in the ear with the butt of his riffle. The boy cried for help and people came running people were ringing the church’s bells. The colonists were throwing ice and snowballs at the soldier. Then other soldiers came and a freed slave dared the soldiers to shoot and they did and killed 5 people. I think the Boston Massacre
  • Tea Act

    The Tea Act purpose was to keep a tax on the tea from the East India Tea company. It was supposed to help the East India Tea company. The monopoly means to control or possession a trade.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was colonists that got on 3 British ships and dumped all the tea on it into the ocean. The Boston Tea Party happen because the keep taxes on teas. 342 chests of tea was thrown in the ocean during the Boston Tea Party. The Sons of Liberty was responsible for the Boston Tea Party. The British responed by closing the habors and shut down the Massachusetts goverment down.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Act was passed as a punishment for the Boston Tea Party happing. A another name for the Intolerable Act is the Coercive. There were was 5 laws part of the Intolerable Act . 1 ment the habor was closed unless the British used it and anther one was to give the power to Britian.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress was held to help to stop the taxes. There were 12 colonies that attenend the First Continental Congress. There were 54 people that showed up to the First Continental Congrees. George Washington, Samuel Adams, John Adams are just a few of key people that were at the First Continental Congress.
  • Lexington and Concord

    The British was heading to Concard to capture Samuel Adams and John Handdock and hold them. When the British arrived at Lexington they were meet by 77 militia people and got told to lay their guns down and someone fired a shoot. A minuteman is a male American that is ready for war as a volunter at a 1 minunte notice. At Concord the British were told to break all the war supplies then they marched back.
  • Second Continental Congress

    The Second Continental Congress talked on June 14, 1775 about how they should break away from Britian. The Olive Branch Petition was a way to help from the 13 colonies from going to war with Britian. The Declaration of Causes was when the goverment created a law when the king joined the Parliament. The congress helped out the colonies during the American Revoultion.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The Colonists settled in the New World which is now know as the United Stat es. The Colonist received supplies from the British, so the Colonists could survive in the new world. The Brititsh defended the Colonists in the war, which cost the Britiish a lot of money. The British thought they could take out the Colonist during the war but the Colonists had minitue men from Philadelphia, Conneticut, Hatford and New York to help the Colonists.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill part two

    It took the minute men two to five days to get there. At this time the British was shot at. The British ran up the hill twice but was shot down both times. The third time the British went up, Howe ordered his army to use baynots. This time was a success becaus the musket riffles took so long to reload. The Colonists ran out off ammo and their efforts to stop the British without weapons failed. This allowed the British to get up the hill and claim victory over the Colonists.
  • Costly Victory

    I believe that is was a costly war for the British because the British helped supply the Colonists so they could make it in the new world. The British also defended the Colonists in the other war.
