Queen Victoria is Born
Princess Victoria (Alexandrina Victoria) was born on the 24 of May at Kensington Palace, London, United Kingdom. Her parents were Edward Duke of Kent and Mary Louis Victoria. She was and only child but her mother appointed her to her governness, Louise Lehze. -
Hier to the Throne
Victoria's father died of pnemonia in 1820. He died when he was 71 years old. Now, Victoria was the next heir to the throne because she was a only child and her 3 uncles ,George IV, Frederick Duke of York, and William IV, had no ligitiment childern that survived. -

On June 20,1837 when Victoria was 18, her uncle, WIlliam IV, died. She became Queen Victoria of Great Britain. Queen Victoria was the longest reiging British monarch. She oversaw huge changes in British society. -
Coronation Day
June 28, 1838 was a special day for Alexandria Victoria. It was her Coronation Day! The coronation was a huge occasion that four hundred thousand visitors went to London to attened. Here they would see Queen Victoria being crowned. -

On Febuary 10, 1840 in the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, Prince Albert and Queen Victoria got married. Prince Albert born August 26, 1819. -
Royal Children
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had 9 children. Their first child was born on November 21, 1840. named Victoria, Princess Royal. Their second child, Albert Edward, Prince of Whales, was born on November 9, 1841. Their third child Princess Alice, was born on April 25, 1843. About two years later Prince Alfred was born on August 6, 1844. After Prince Alfred they had their fifth child, Princess Helana, born May 25, 1846. -
More Children
Queen Victoria had her sixth child, Princess Louise, born on March 18, 1848. After that she had a seventh child, Prince Arthur who was born May 1, 1850. Years later they had an thier eight child, Prince Leopold, who was born on May 7, 1853. Finally, Queen Victoria only had one more child, Princess Beatrice, born on April 14, 1857. -
Great Exhibition
Prince Albert and Queen Victoria made up the Great Exhibition. It focuses on celebrating art, science, trade, and industry. It was held in the Crystal Palace in London. -
Queen Victoria Attends Paraliment
After Prince Albert died of typhiod fever on December 14, 1861 Queen Victoria made her first major public appearance. She attends the State Opening of Parliament. This was an annual event which marks the start of a new parliamentary session. Her job was to open for this event. -
Empress of India
In 1877, Victoria became Empress of India. Her Empire also included Canada, Australia, New Zeland, and large parts of Africa. -
William Gladstone Prime Minister
In 1880, Queen Victoria tries to stop William Gladstone from becoming Prime Minister. She disliked Gladstone and she preferred the Marquess of Hartington, another statesman from the Liberal party which had just won the general election. Unfortunally, she did not get her way. -
50 years and Counting
Queen Victoria celebrate the Golden Jubliee, 50 years, of her reign. A service of thanksgiving takes place on June 21 at Westminer Abbey. Ten years later she celebrates Diamond Jubliee, 60 years, of her reign. -
Queen Victoria Died
Queen Victoria died at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. She was 81 years old and she reigned for almost 64 years. She was buried in the Frogmore Mausoleum at Windsor next to Prince Albert.
