Henri Poincare (29 April 1854-17 July 1912)
A French mathematician, one of the largest known and celebrated mathematical physicists at the end of the 18th century. By his untimely death at the age of 58, Mr. Poincare was recognized for his improvements in geometry, theories of differential equations, electromagnetism, topology, and philosophy of mathematics. The Birth of Conventionalism
Motivated by the desire to mitigate deceptive ascriptions of truth. Henri Poincare was and is considered one of the forefathers of this method of thinking.
