HelloKitty was created by Yuko Shimizu. Sanrio company wanted to match Kitty with Snoopy, which was a dog character made by them. She has no mouth because the designer wanted her to share the feelings with person who look at her. -
She was named "Kitty".
She was called "no name cat" in the eaerly stage, and was named "Kitty" after a cat "Kiktty" in Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There. -
The designer was changed to Setsuko Yonekubo.
Yuko Shimizu was on the stuff of the company. She worked as the designer of Hello Kitty for two years, and SetdukoYonekubo became the second designer. -

Setsuko Yonekubo quited the designer, and Yuko Yamaguchi became a new designer. To keep and rise in Kitty's popularity, she tried changing patterns in each year, season, age of users, and holding autgragh sessions which she signed Kitty's sign in each place in Japan. -
