Cable Providers Need Your Consent
The Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984 states that cable providers need a written consent from the costumer before collecting any personal information. http://privacy.med.miami.edu/glossary/xd_ccpa.htm I give this law and explanation a B- because it was clearly stated but I don't see the purpose of collecting informtion from cable in the first place. -
Protect Your Personal Information of Elecronic Communicaitons
The Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 protects the personal information collected and stored on the Web that can be used by the government. https://cdt.org/insight/testimony-of-deirdre-mulligan-before-the-senate-committee-on-commerce-science-and-transportation-subcommittee-on-communications/ I give this law a C because it was explained difficultly and took me a while to understand what it was trying to say. -
Protect Your Children's Privacy Online

Protection Through Wireless Communication
The wireless communicaitons and public safelty act of 1999 give people the protection they need through wireless communitcation. Consumer Privacy
The Obama Administration created the “Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights” to improve the protection of consumers when shopping online. Privacy with Employers
The A.B. 1844 Social Media Act prohibits employers from requiring applicants to disclose their personal social media informaiton, such as passwords. http://www.ncsl.org/research/telecommunications-and-information-technology/employer-access-to-social-media-passwords.aspx I give this law and explantion an A because I find it very improtant to have this kind of privacy when it comes to employment. -
Everthing You Put on the Internet May Not Stay Forever
The Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575 (2013 AB 370) states that minors are permitted to request the removal of any imformation of theirs from the internet. http://www.ncsl.org/research/telecommunications-and-information-technology/state-laws-related-to-internet-privacy.aspx I grade this law and explantion an A because it is very useful for minors to have the right to remove information about themselves from the internet.
