Health Plan Considerations

By Lynds
  • Measurable

When creating a health plan/goal, you should make sure it is measurable. When measuring progress you "stay on track, reach your target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement (page 5)".
  • Realistic

"To be realistic, a goal must represent an objective towards which you are both willing and able to work (page 5)". You are the only person who can decide if you can actually reach the goal you hope to achieve.
  • Timely

"A goal should be grounded within a time frame (page 5)". It is important to give yourself a time frame when creating a health plan so you don't procrastinate.
  • Attainable

"When you identify goals that are most important to you, you begin to figure out ways you can make them come true (page 5)". A goal is most likely attainable if you truly believe you can accomplish it.
  • Specific

When creating a goal/plan it is important to consider what the goal is, how often, and where/when will it occur.
  • My Own Plan

A personal goal I have would be writing something I am grateful for every morning and night in a notebook. This would use the strengths of passion and perseverance. The risks this could include is taking to long to think of something after time, which could be upsetting. some needs this would include are the traits of time management, specifics, realistic thinking, attainable mindset and to make sure it is measurable.
