He began his career as an animator with Toei Animation.co -
Recognition in-between art “Gulliver’s travels beyond the moon”
Recieved first recognition for his work as an animator "In-between artist (creating transitioning movment between the drawn frams)" -
Chief Animator “Hols: Prince of the Sun”
Gained more of his recongnition from his work and became the chief of animated film “Hols: Prince of the Sun” -
Miyazaki leaves Toei Animation For Other Companies
Miyazaki left Toei animation for other companies such as; Mushi Production, A Pro, Nippon Animation, and TMS Entertainment back in the early 70's. -
Directs his first Animated film ; “The castle Of Cagliostro”
He later was able to direct his first animated film. "“The castle Of Cagliostro" a movie for a Manga series (Manga = like black and white japanese comicbooks) -
Directs Major Animated film (5 awards) “My Neighbor Totoro” Sudio Ghibli
In the late 80's Miyazaki gained much praise for his well directed film "My neighbor Totoro" by animation studio Ghibli, also a well beloved film here in the west. -
Directs Major Animated Film (21 Awards won) “Princess Mononoke”
In the late 90's he Directed the film "Princess Mononoke" It was better than some other of his films before, earning it a veriaty of awards. Astonishingly it won 21 awards, including one Acadamy award. -
Directs Major animated film (34 awards won) “Spirited Away"
Realesed date of his most famous/ biggest animated film "Spirited Away" So great it won 34 awards Including the best animated feature at the 75th Academy Awards. -
Completes production of 1986 Fantasy novel “Howl’s moving castle” film
In July 2004 Miyazaki completed the production of "Howl's Moving Castle" a film based on Diana Wynne Jones' 1986's fantasy novel with the same title. -
Received lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival
He recived the Lifetime Achivement Award at the Venice (Italy) Film Feastival. -
Retirement
In september last year Hayao Miyazaki realeased that he would finally be retirering at the ripe age of 73 from directing, though many don't think he's finished making movies he seems to already have been finished with all his gathered respects. -
Most Recent Film (Awards Many Pending & Nominated) “The Wind Rises”
Finally his most reacently directed film "The Wind Rises" was just realesed July 20th in Japan and is About to have an American realese Febuary 21st (though it's limited to few theaters) also its been nominated and is pending quite a few awards!
