This is a court decison to end all segregation in schools. Brown vs. Board was the name given to 5 seperate cases involving segregation in schools. -
Medicare Beginning
XVIII of the Social Security Act gave people 65 years and older the chance for health care. In the plan hospital insurance costs were covered and blue cross and blue shield gave benefits as well. -
Watergate Affair
Burglars entered the watergate building trying to steal secret documents and tap phones in the building. Nixon tried to cover it up with offering money to the thiefs to keep them quiet. -
Reagan's "Tear Down this Wall" speach
The speech was to try and reunify west and east Berlin. There was a lot of conterversy over using the line "tear down this wall" in the speech, but using it made Reagan's speech that much greater. -
Clinton Impeachment
President Clinton had a sexual affair with his 21 year old unpaid intern. They had over a dozen sexual incounters, and later Lewinsky was transferred to the pentagon and then confided in a co worker about her affair. Later Clinton was impeached and then pardoned.
