In the early 1700's, women wore hoop skirts with corsets and gowns with ruffles. Men wore knee-length coats with buttons to the hem, also with pleats on either side. -
Late 1700's Fashion
In the late 1700's women wore frilly, lace, and ruffled dresses with wide hips and a triangle-shaped torso. In the late 1700's men's clothing became noticeably lighter. The fabrics became sleeker and easier to move in and coats started to get shorter; the bottom would land on their waist, instead of their knee. -

Men dressed as native American Indians boarded 3 tea ships, then dumped a total number of 90,000 pounds of tea boxes into the Boston Harbor. The British Parliment then punished the colonies by shutting down civilian courts and stationed troops in the cities. -

The United States Declaration of Independence declared that the British and the Americans were no longer at war and that the 13 colonies are now 13 individual states, no longer under control of the British Parliment. -

Detroit was a city that populated very quickly. When slavery became illegal, former slaves came to the North to find jobs as laborers or factory workers. Everybody lived close to where their factory was. When cars became available to everyone, the blacks created their own neighborhood to help other slaves feel welcome. At this time Detroit had a population of 1,100. -

Fashion During the Second World War
During the second world war, much of the same happened with clothing like in WWI. Since all supplies had to be shipped to the front lines, clothes rationing had to exist. "Make do and mend." If your clothes got dirty or were torn, you had to fix it, you couldn't just go and buy new clothes. Even if you were fairly wealthy, not many shops had any clothes.

Donald Trump's travel ban, signed on January 27, 2017, became subject to many legal issues. It restricted travel to and from seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. He discriminated against Musilms, which is why so many people had issues with it. -
Fashion Today
Fashion today is very different from earlier fashions. 2018 clothing is usually based on the season. Every season has different colors and styles of clothing. In the warmer seasons, both men and women wear very light and sheer clothing that have very brightly colored colors. In the colder seasons, women and men wear pants and long-sleeved shirts that have darker colored colors. Women's clothing usually has pops of color, while men's usually stay dark.
