D-Day

President Truman decided to drop the atomic bomb in order to prevent losing lots of American soldiers to end the war. There were two bombs dropped, one on Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki. This ended the fighting of World War 2. -

The day Japan surrendered. It marks the end of the fighting in world war two. It is known as victory in Japan day.
