    Germany invaded Poland and took over. This happened because Germany wanted to unite all German speaking people throughout Europe. This event sparked World War 2.

    Japan attacked American military in Pearl Harbor Hawaii destroying lots of American navy. This even happened because Japan did want America to join the war and attack them first. America joined the war after this happened.

    The battle of Midway happened between the Japanese and the Americans. It took place at sea between navy's. This was the turning point for the allies in the pacific. America won which helped advance them closer to Japan's mainland.

    The allies planned a land invasion of France, to take back France from Germany. The allies took France back with the help of 1 million allied troops. The impact of this event was the allies gained France back again.

    The allies went throughout Europe they came along concentration camps finding tons of dead bodies and tired prisoners. The Nazi's had killed tons of Jews when they realized they were going to lose the war. The allies gave them food and tried to help them when they found the Jews in these concentration camps.

    The Japanese and Americans fought against each other on this island. This land was important because they had airbases that were in striking distance of Japan. America won the battle.This allowed America to get closer to Japan's mainland.

    An important battle in World War Two. It was America vs. Japan. This was important because of it's location being so close to Japan. America won the battle and advanced on.

    This day is when the allies won back Europe. They defeated Germany. This marks the end of fighting in Europe leading to the end of World War 2.

    Dropping of the atomic bombs
    President Truman decided to drop the atomic bomb in order to prevent losing lots of American soldiers to end the war. There were two bombs dropped, one on Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki. This ended the fighting of World War 2.

    The day Japan surrendered. It marks the end of the fighting in world war two. It is known as victory in Japan day.
