    Night of Broken Glass
    The night of broken glass was a massive attack on jews on Nov. 9 1938. Over 250 synagogues were burned, over 7,000 Jewish businesses were trashed, dozens of jews were killed. The night became known as Kristallnacht which translates to night of broken glass. It was named this because of all the glass that littered the streets after the attack.

    The turning point of world war 2 because it was the first major allied victory. On d-day allied forces fought germany's troops on the beaches of Normandy to liberate northern France.

    At the Yalta Conference, FDR, Churchill and Stalin all met to discuss postwar world and future war progress. Stalin was promised land lost to Japan. All the agreements made in this conference were supposed to be kept secret.

    VE day is also known as Victory in Europe day. This was the day the Nazi's surrendered its armed forces.

    Little boy was the codename for the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan on Aug. 6, 1945. It was dropped in hopes to end WW2.

    This was the last major act of World War 2. A few days after the atomic bomb was dropped, Japan surrendered.
