Your origin
Guns N 'Roses is an American "hard rock" band, formed in Los Angeles, California. -
Group formation
The members who formed the band at the beginning were from Hollywood Rose and LA Guns: "Axl Rose" who is the lead singer, "Izzy Stradlin" who is the rhythm guitar, "Tracii Guns" who is the lead guitar, "Ole Beich" who it's the bass and "Robbie Gardner" who was the drummer. -
Member name creation and change
The band created its name from the combination of two names of the members of the group.
After a while the bassist "Ole Beich" was replaced by "Duff McKagan", however with the lack of "Tracii Guns" in rehearsals, he was replaced by "Slash". -
Band debut
The stage debut took place at Troubador, in Hollywood, for approximately 150 people, then they went to Seattle, where they had a debut tour, called "Hell Tour", but because the van broke down on the way, they arrived two days later and resulting in the cancellation of their tour of the United States, which caused them to sell the equipment, so that they could return home. -
Appetite for Destruction - disco
The difficulty would not last long, in a short time a disc was released, which in a short time, reached the first place on the charts and also had about 18 million copies sold in the United States alone. With that, they continued with the shows, opening for much bigger bands like Iron Maiden. -
Welcome to the Jungle - Song
The song "Welcome to the Jungle" was featured in a "Clint Eastwood" movie called "The Dead Pool", featuring members of the band. -
G N' R Lies - The band's second album.
This album consists of only four new compositions and four recordings from the live EP. In this album they show the path that the band took for the following years. The new tracks introduce acoustic instruments that resulted in the sweet "Patience". With all this, the album also climbs the charts and joins the first album, which is still selling. -
Use Your Illusion Tour - Tour
After the albums were released, Guns N 'Roses embarked on a 28-month tour. The band played for their largest audience with an average of 140 thousand people on January 20 and 120 thousand on January 23, at the Rock in Rio 2 festival, held at the maracanã stadium, in Rio de Janeiro. The present day, waiting for your return
On that day, the original members of the band will attend the Guns N 'Roses meeting at the Coachella festival in April. On the official website of the event, the band confirmed the schedule of April 16 and 23. On April 1, 2016, the most anticipated return to the stage of Guns N 'Roses with Slash and Duff for the first time in 20 years arrived earlier than expected, with a surprise show on Friday night at Troubadour shows in Los Angeles: a small space, but one that marked the band's history.
