Columbine High School Shooting
Two senior students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered a total of 12 students and one teacher. They injured 24 additional students, with three other people being injured while attempting to escape the school. The pair then committed suicide. They put 99 bombs in the school's cafteria and in some cars. -
Virginia Tech Massaacre
On April 16th, 2007, from 7:15-9:51 am, 33 people were killed, including the perpetrator, and 23 injured, 17 from gun shots. The perpertrator was mentally ill and suffered from depression. The school had no idea of his condition of extreme anxiety -
NICS Improvement Ammendments Act
This act was passed after the Virginia Tech massacre. The purpose of this act was to expand funding for the NICS. The NICS is the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. This act also encourages states to submit mental healt records to the NICS. -

From 1:34 p.m.-c. 1:44 p.m., a man named Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and injured 33 people including himself. He started killing because he was upset because he was deployed to Iraq. Now Hassan is paralyzed from the waist down. -
Tuscon, Arizona Grocery Store Shooting
22 year old Jared Laughner shot 19 people in a grocery store parking lot on January 8, 2011. 6 people were killed. One of the people who were shot was U.S. representative Gabreille Giffords. -
Colorado Movie Theater Shooting
A mass shooting occurred inside of a centruy movie theater in Aurora Colorado, during a midnight screening of the movie "The Dark Knight Rises." The gunman set off tear gas grenades and shot into the audience with mutilple firearms killing 12 people and injuring 70 others!! -
Sandy Hook Shooting
Twenty children and six adults were killed in Sandy Hook, Conneticut. -
Washington D.C Shooting
Just yesterday a Navy reservist killed at least 12 people in a mass shooting at a secure military facility that led the authorities to lock down part of the nation's capitol, even after the gunman was killed, in hunt for two other armed men who were spotted on camera.
