  • Niels Bohr (1885-1962) Entry 2

Dr. Bohr coined the term "complementarity" to describe a concept that other scientists had not yet put into prose. Until 1928, science was viewed with having one answer. Bohr postulated that there was more than one viewpoint to describe phenomena, that two different perspectives can shed light onto one another to ascertain a conclusive answer. Different lenses are required to lead to truth scientifically, perhaps even philosophically.
