Common sense
9th of January,1776. Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet called "Common Sense". It was about why the americans should go for independence and freedom rather than staying in the unruling grip of Great Britain. It explained to americans why they should help patriots and it did convert people -
The Declaration of Independence
All sign the Declaration of Independence for freedom of Britain. The preamble was a formal start of the letter.
1:The declaration opens by saying declaring independence is a serious step.
2:The second part argues that people have the right to change a government when it abuses their rights.
3.This part is how the King of Britain broke rules and was to be removed and how the bond was to be dissolved

Washington lost many men and had to retreat out of Long Island.
Nathan Hale was a soldier for the continental army, he was also a spy but was caught and killed.

The Americans were going to attack Trenton, New Jersey they had to cross the Delaware river.
