    It was a decisive Axis victory because not only did it end the phoney war, it allowed the Axis to take control of 6 or more countries and was a major tactial victory also.

    The Germans divided the French and British and made them retreat to the coast. It showed how ready the German forces were.

    Hitler called for the largest attack in WWII. He owned the air and his air force bombed Britian day after day, The Germans attacked everyone and everything, The stragity Blitzkrieg took into effect on all London.
  • Pearl Harbor Attack

    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a major japanese stragity move to take out America's Navy, It also got the US involved in the war and made America take sides.

    The US destroyed the Japanese Imperial Navy and it gave the US complete control over the Pacific Ocean.
  • Battle of El Alamein

    Led by Claude Auchinleck and Dorman Smith of the British. It was a major tactial movement for the British because it push the Germans out the Africa and it opened up an attack for them to attack Italy.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    The Russian's stoped the advancing German army. It was a harsh Russian winter and the Germans were not perpared. The Russian's planned a counter attack and forced over 90,000 Germans to surrender and the Russians killed more then 330,000
  • D-Day

    It was the day that the invasion of Western Europe began. They pushed through North France and worked there way down. This was also a good stagity for them to use in war.
  • Battle of Iwo Jima

    The battle was important because the American forces needed the two islands to pretty much secure the Japanese islands and win the war in the Pacific.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    The second battle after Iwo Jima, it was the last island that America had to take over to control Japan. over 130,000 American forces died in both battles, but it was a major victory for the Allied forces.
