The Arizona Constitution is not sufficient to serve as a Constitution for the new country of Arizona, so a constitutional convention is called. Former Republican Senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake, together with Democrat Kyrsten Sinema chair the new convention, which adopts many of the principals of the US Constitution.

Since the US Congress has ceased to function and President Trump is ignored by the military, there is no opposition to the creation of the new country of Arizona.
