    The First Feathered Golf Ball was made in 1618. It was made with goose or Chicken Feathers. When it was stuffed with feathers it became harder than the hairy golf ball. Thus making it able to fly further.

    The first iron golf heads were forged although they were very rare because of the delicacy of the Feathered golf balls which was the ball at the time.

    The Steel shaft although was being made in 1925. The R&A, named from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews which was the main governor of the game of golf. .

    Up until 1939 the average golfer would carry 20-30 clubs in your bag. But because of the new steel shaft clubs the R&A limited your bag to only 14 clubs
