Metro Market
The first "Metro Market" is opened. These resturants where bigger and where almost double the size of the older Golden Corrals. Also added to the "Metro Maket" was a new Brass Bell Bakery. A brass bell would ring every 15 minues annoucing that new rolls, breads and pasties were hot out of the oven and ready to be eaten. -

Salmonella
In Kennesaw Georgia 23 people are infected with Salmonella. It is linked to Golden Corral. Health inspectors find Salmonella in the floor drain and beileve it to be from when the equipment was washed. -
