Caroline Chisholm
Caroline Chiholm, a woman who had courage for poor miners and built huts/homes. She setted homes called "Chisholm's Shakedown." By now representing her courage, she is on our 5 dollar note right at this very moment. -
The Eureka Stockade
The miners has had enough of the "mining goverment" with lisenses. Miners has elected a leader named Peter Lalor. Peter quarrelled with the Goverment to have Miners Right to mine. The goverment ignored everything. The miners built a stockade agaist the troopers. Only 30 miners died and Peter was shot. The goverment acepted and made the licenses cost 20 shillings and will last for 1 year. -
Introducing the Chinese
Chinese have heard of miners in Australia found gold. They knew they also had gold in China but once you mine it you must give it to the Emperor of China. Mining for a while, many Chinese left the goldfields cause nothing was left in the ground. While some found and paid the Emperor gold to pay thier fee to travel. -

Paddy Hannan an Irish man, was responsible wto find the first nugget of gold NE, WA in Coolgardie. Paddy dimly accidently reported his large amount of gold. Soon he mined and found nothing left! Surprisingling he realised what had happened. -
