    Japan has invaded Vietnam and became the most powerful of foreign nations to rule the Asian country. China had controlled Vietnam for a long time but this is the unlucky day for china. As time goes on, things start to change over the time for Asia. The effect of the changes led to French ruling over Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia which all of those regions were later on turned into French Indochina
  • Ho Chi Minhs Return

    Ho Chi Minh is one of the powerful nationalist leaders. He was best known for being in the Nationalist movements . When the years passed, Ho Chi Minh returned to Southeast China and began to support the Indochinese communist party and worked for independence. His activists forced him to flee out of Indochina and spend several years in exile in the soviet union, which he later on returned to Vietnam. Japan seized control over the country while Ho Chi Minh was building a group called the Vietminh.

    Ho Chi Minh controls north Vietnam as Vietnam is split. Pro communist Ngo Dinh Diem controlled the south of Vietnam. The french troops left Vietnam and the protection of Vietnam is in the U.S's hands. The accords tried to reunite Vietnam with a single government. Diem refused to have this election as he thought Minh would win.

    Kennedy was in office and started to support south Vietnam because he thought they were still fighting the communists. Vietnam personnel jumped from 2,000 to 15,000. But they still failed to flounder with the Diem regime . The Vietnamese created strategic hamlets which were heavily fortified villages. The purpose of these hamlets were to uproot their villagers from their old villages.

    Johnson announced that the Vietnamese had attacked the boats and torpedoed them. The two boats were U.S destroyers and were settled in the Gulf Of Tonkin. Another attack happened 2 days later, which led to U.S aircrafts attacking North Vietnamese ships and naval facilities.

Johnson was ordered to repel any attack from the Vietnamese, but soon Vietnam attacked American advisers. Johnson sent an aircraft with a bomb in it after the events of the attack.

    180000 U.S troops were fighting in Vietnam, as time went by the troops number doubled. U.S troops fought with confidence, hoping that they will win againts the Vietcong. But soon it will change as the Vietnamese used booby traps and ambushes. The affect of this decreased the number of U.S troops in the matter of seconds.

    U.S used this as their new tactic againts the Vietcong. The Vietnamese always hides in bushes to ambush U.S troops. But later it will change as they will use bombs to lure the Vietcong out and capture their area.
  • Agent Orange

    Instead of using bombs to lure out the Vietnamese, the U.S used this chemical called "Agent Orange". Agent Orange is a chemical that stripes down leaves and bushes in an area. So the Vietnamese cannot hide from the U.S any more. This chemical can turn anything into a wasteland
  • The Ho Chi Minh Trail

    There was a lot of support for the Vietcong. South and North Vietnam were giving out a lot for the war effort. Including firearms, supplies, and more Vietnam troops to fight. How they transport this stuff is through the Ho Chi Minh trail, which goes through Cambodia and Laos. There, the communist can move or transport goods and weapons to the Vietcong. Johnson feared that attacking North Vietnam would attract China into war. Johnson wanted the troops to wear Vietcong down, many U.S troops died
