    Millions poured into cities for jobs in factories during the industrial era. This rapid urbanization resulted in overpopulation, crowded tenements, strain on city service, health issues etc.

    Most factory owners and bosses were more concerned with profit than worker safety. During industrialization, the work accidents and terrible working conditions were countless To combat this, workers formed unions to fight for higher wages, better hours and safer conditions.
  • Monopolies

    Monopolies
    Monopolies put all others out of business giving them an unfair advantage. If these companies were the only option for consumers for that product, they would then have to pay whatever the price. The government was not regulating business so this allowed monopolies to form which hurt small business and consumers.
