Germany takes Austria
Germany invades Austria and the day after, it anounced that it's union with Austria was complete. No countries did anything to intervene. -
Germany gains Sudetenland
Daladier (France) and Chamberlain (Britain) chose to believe Sudetenland would be his last territorial demandin order to avoid war and they signed the Munich Agreement, which signed Sudetenland over to Germany. -
Czechoslovakia
Hitler brought in troops at the break of dawn and by nightfall, Hilter was gloating that "Czechoslovakia has ceased to exist." -
Nonagression Agreement
Russia and Germany signed a nonagression pact. Germany and the Soviet Union also signed a second, secretive pact agreeing to divide Poland between the two of them. -
Poland
The German airforce flew over Poland, bombing military bases, airfields, railroads, and cities while German tanks raced across the countryside. This was the first time the blitzkrieg strategy was used. -
War declared on Germany
Two days after Germany invaded Poland, Britain and France declared war on Germany. -

Hitler handed French officers his terms of surrender, after Germany and Italy invaded France, and France fell -
Britain
Germany began to assemble an invasion fleet along the French Coast. They also launched an air war at the same time as it's naval war. -
Britain Victory
RAF shot down over 185 German planes; at the same time, they only lost 26 aircrafts. Six weeks later, Hitler called off the invasion.
