Marching into Austria
Austria was the first target. German troops marched into Austria unopposed. Hitler appointed a new Nazi government. -
Anschluss
Germany announced Anschluss was proclaimed with Austria. Other countries did nothing, except juste it back and watch. -
Munich Agreement
Daladier and Chamberlain signed the Munich Agreement. The Munich Agreement was a settlement permitting Nazi Germany's annexation of portions of Czechoslovakia along the country's borders mainly inhabited by German speakers, for which a new territorial designation "Sudetenland" was coined. Chamberlain used appeasement very often to avoid conflict. -
Invading Czechoslovakia
German troops invaded Czechoslovakia. Churchill was correct when he said Hitler was not done expanding the Third Reich. -
Soviet to the Rescue
Soviet Union decides to help Soviet-Britian-French Reunion which would guarantee the integrity of Poland. -
Nonaggression Pact
The Nonaggression Pact was signed by Stalin to declare communist Russia and Germany. -
Air Forces bombed
The German air forces bombed the military bases in Poland.German forces tried out the blitzkrieg in Poland. -
War on Germany
Britain and France declared war on Germany. -
Surprise!
There was a surprise attack on Denmark and Norway. -
Surrender
Hitler gave French officers his terms of surrender. -
German Planes
About 185 German planes were shot down by RAF (Royal Air Force). They're the air force of the United Kingdom. The RAF only lost 26 of their planes. Hitler then backed out the plan of invading Britain. The Britain cities were still attacked by Germany.
