Georgia Ratifies Constitution
Georgia was the fourth state to ratify the U.S. constitution. There was a meeting held in Augusta where they voted on the ratification of Georgia, it was unanimous. -
Austin Dabney
Austin Dabney a former slave, served in the Georgia militia to defeat the British. He was the first African American to be granted land in Georgia after the war.
