The crossing
On one of the coldest nights of the war, Washington led his troops across the Deleware River nine miles north of Trenton. All impossible conditions lined up against the troops with unbelieveable raging winds, thick snow, sleet, and strong rain, and on top of that, many of the troops went through without any shoes. Doing so, surprised Hessain Garrison and overtook the city after fierce fighting in the morning. Powering up the confidence of all that heard about the event. -
