Genie was born to an abusive father who immediately decided she was mentally ill and put her into social seclusion. -
Found
A social worker found Genie in her horrible living conditions. She was bound to a kid toilet and was abused and malnourished. She couldn't speak and her physical health was not good. -

Doctors tested her and found her mental age to be around 1 to 3 years old for most things but 12 to 13 for some things -

Rigler gets a three year grant from the NIMH to study Genie -
Went to live with her teacher
Genie became a foster child of her teacher. Only about a month and a half later they took her to live with the family of the scientist in charge of her case. She developed the ability to speak and was bale to remember vocabulary and what things were however she struggled with sentence structure. -
Live with Mother
After turning 18 she went and lived with her other however she couldn't provide efficient care and moved her to an adult home for the disabled. This was the first of many. She was abused and quickly regressed losing her speech and her health deteriorated -

Her whereabouts are still mostly unknown however it is believed she is kept in an adult home somewhere in California
