  • The first phone with a camera

    A company based out of Japan called SoftBank created the very first camera phone called the J-Phone. The phone operated at 0.11 megapixels with a 356-color display and could share photos wirelessly. This was the very first look into phones that could second as cameras.

  • The worlds fastest super computer was created called the Earth Simulator

    This computer was developed and used by the Japanese government to create global climate models. It costed roughly $600 million to create. Altho it was expensive, this supercomputer solved many problems with architecture and other construction issues during times of natural disasters. This was the fastest computer from 2002-2004.

  • The Amazon kindle is was released

    Although many other companies had tried to previously create an electronic reading system, the kindle was the first major success. Jeff Bezos wanted to solve many issues that traditional books bring. This technology also further advanced Amazon as a company to what we know them as today.

  • The first iPhone was released

    Steve Jobs and Apple created the first ever iPhone which was a combination of web browser, music player, and cell phone. The phone could also function with apps which was a new concept. This invention brought so many advancements to phones and computers in general. It created a new standard for companies to achieve.

  • The Rasberry-Pi was created for educational purposes

    This credit card sized computer brought a new look at what computers could be. It was invented in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and was created to bring simplicity and educate students and hobbyists. This invention brought a new wave of kids and adults who could easily learn and experiment with computers which sparked new ideas and advancements in future technologies.
